Closer Look at What is to Come! Teleporters, Stargates, Wing Suit, and 21 Other Great Features!

    So today we are going to show a lot of sneak peaks of what is coming soon to GRAV. If you don't know GRAV has Trello Setup to organize priority of features of things they like to add to the game. Now please note that they will most likely add smaller things here and there before these features come to light but these are their higher propriety of features to get out of the door.

    We are listing at this time the features that are marked for Near Future Early Access. This could still be months away or only weeks or days.

    Stargate:

    This has to be everyone's favorite feature right now. The Stargate will allow you to travel planet to planet and the devs have hinted the planets you see rotating around your planet now is the planets it will travel to. We have no Clue how it connects to a planet if it has some sort of selector or dial up but will post more info when we get more info.


    Wing Suit:

    This is a really cool high tech looking gadget that seems to actually not be a glider but offer flight capabilities from the assumption on how large the back pack part is that it might be storing some sort of engine to power it.

    Loot crates with levels of rarity:

    New loot creates with level of rarity. So will be seeing Common (white), uncommon (green), rare (blue), epic (purple), Legendary (Orange), and it also states Mythic and even etc. Will have to see what those will be at a later date.

    Blueprints with level of rarity:

    Once again another color scheme for Blueprints. Looks like the Rainbow color might be White but not a 100% sure and Gold or Yellow might be Legendary but we are not sure. It could also be 2 examples of Mythic and etc that we were told about. Will have to wait and see.


    Teleporter:

    The teleporter will become one of the major transportation systems from island to island and around to friends bases, etc. This beast can teleporter will warp the player to any known latitude / longitude as long as we assume it's on the same planet. We are not sure at this time if it would work in dungeons as their technically in the same world / instancing but might have terrain unloaded.

    Ability to Dye Equipment:

    Looks like you will be able to Dye armors and equipment. Will it be limited to just colors or will the glow effects be included? Very Interesting they show us these glowing green mushrooms at nighttime as an example!

    Light saber/ Plasma sword:

    Nothing to add here but how badass this thing looks. Will it use any sort of fuel? Do you think it should use some sort of fuel?

    Grenades:

    This is actually something that is already sort of build in the game and will work well. Notice a lot of mobs countdown and do an AOE damage effect? Add that to a throwing ball and presto! So now you can see that there can easily be many many effects. Maybe the Guardian AOE will be one of the top effects!

    Rocket launcher:

    Can't say much about a machine made for death. I bet people will not be complain now how hard is is to deconstruct their base with one of theses babies.

    Magnum Pistol:
    No screenshot available for this yet but a High Powered pistol that does insane damage is our guess.

    Active Reload:
    This is a neat feature and will also be a touchy subject. I'm sure ranged weapons will be going through some balancing before this is added in.

    More Biomes:
    The description says "More variety for planet biome generation". Nothing much to add to this but sweet!

    Dynamic Quest System:
    We don't know much on this system. But we are really excited for it. Will it be a simple hand me 10 ore quests or will it be kill this special boss that I just spawned here is the coordinates. Will have to wait and find out. It seems like a lot of people are leaning towards Cube World style quest system.

    Rewards for doing well in world events:
    This is a really exciting one and sounds like they want to add a lot more events. In the description it states the following: Kill N guys, Have the highest killed amount, Harvest events, Build events.

    Ability to jump while on the monocycle:
    This one will be a bit hard to get use to now. Lot of people got use to Jumping to get out of Monocycle but it will be one the best changes for us. So annoying trying to navigate around gathering nodes, etc just to get stuck and have to jump out of monocycle form.

    Alien Dropship:
    No pictures for this one but there is also a Alien Dropship that will drop supplies. We don't know if this is going to be an attack and then you get the supplies or if it's just a random Dropship flying by dropping supplies like you see in some other games the plan that drops random supplies and everyone on the server tries to get it first.

    Hardcore PvP Server Settings:
    This one will be exciting for the Hardcore players. We are not sure if this is good bye you are banned from the server or timed bans or some sort of new rules to make it more interesting. More information will be available of course in the future.

    Dodge/Roll Moves:
    This will allow you to easily dodge or roll out of a sticky situation. As a FPS we assume it will not grant you any sort of immunity during the dodge or roll but will find out in the future.

    Full Food System:
    This has been a very very hot topic on the Steam Forums. It seems that a lot of players are very divided on the Food system. We have a good chunk of players who would love to have a more detailed advance food system even some hardcore ones that like to see food rot. Then on the other hand we got a large group of players as well that don't want anything more to the food system and rather see other forms of game play features that brings new survival aspects. This is one the features that the devs are going to have to pay close attention to feedback and consider adding configuration options for server admins.

    Stamina System:
    Looks like will be getting a Stamina system in the game. Pretty common in these types of games. We are not sure if Shift will always work now for quick speed buff and the Stamina buff might just fill up your stamina bar or how it will all play out.

    Inventory Limit:
    This will be another touchy subject. Right now the transfering of items from chest to player is very painful and very slow. If you hold shift you can transfer 10 items at a time. But a lot of times your selected item, etc sort of derps up and makes transferring items very painful. Will have to see a pretty large UI improvement here before will see the Inventory Limit Switches turn on. We are not sure if this will include slowing down players if their over cumbered like Skyrim system or just prevent them from picking up anymore items. Might also be based on how many items per item type. More to come soon.

    Show number of consumable items on the hotbar:
    This is a pretty basic one. Shows you the number of consumable items on your hotbar like Health Stims, Speed Stims, Invisibility Stims, etc. We also assume if you place something else on the hotbar that has more then 1 it might also show you the number.

    Mouse Sensitivity
    Mouse Sensitivity is also on the list of Near Future update. Nothing to explain here but really great for people who like to fine tune their mouse sensitivity.

    Planets with different gravity
    We saved this for last as it's marked both Near Future and Future.

    Personally, i think you should add a number of "energy devices" that burn a variety of fuels at different rates.
    All of which fill an energy bar on your hud. There are a few devices that should require power as it is, and it would make a starting point for energy weapons. (the flare should use a chunk of power to fire.)

    Possible energy devices could include:
    Thermal energy device -burns wood
    Combustion energy device -burns fossils, energy/fuel ratio higher than wood (fossil fuels, lol)
    Fusion energy device -burns all four elemental essences (need all four at once), extremely high energy/fuel ratio
    Entropic energy device -burns element-x, very high energy/fuel ratio

    Plus versions of all energy devices would be good. You could probably apply the same idea to the place-able generators

    As for the plasma sword you mentioned above, i think it should use the above energy system, and expend gems. gems being the focus for the plasma beam and occasional get burned out.

    I think they can make better looking wing suit...

    also I would love to see some sort of shield? like health but it shield...it will be invisible, just an item you will equip
