  • GRAV PATCH 13 NOTES
    *NOTICE*: Area levels and caves have been re-rolled to make room for the new science station

    IMPROVEMENTS:
    • Level cap raised to 60! New armor set blueprints will now drop above level 40
    • New front-end menu and the much lamented SOLO PLAY button!
    • Player customizable keybind menu is now hooked up and active! (via the escape menu)
    • New Item! Jump boots. When equipped player can double jump! This Blueprint can drop when your Job is an Acrobat and your Acrobat Level is 10+
    • Science Station has gotten a face lift! Much larger spaces should lead to more interesting gameplay within the science dome.
    • Rare resources have been spotted in the wild. These resources have a chance to drop more Crafting Materials than non-rare resources.
    • New base item! Flood lights. Darkness got you down? Build some FLOOD LIGHTS!!
    • Improved readability of room build failures and added more error types...

SPECIAL NOTICE:
  • All area levels and elemental types as well as caves have been re-rolled to fix bad starting point selection on some servers and issues in caves

IMPROVEMENTS:
  • Stargates now have access to more than just one planet. Individual planets will move in and out of range of the stargates. Check the stargate to see if a new planet has come into range!
  • New Vehicle! WingSuit. Soar like a bird and never look back.
  • Improved particle effect on jetpack
  • Resources are now grayed out when the base item is not upgraded enough to build the selected item in the build menu
  • PlayerSoul Blueprints are now droppping from killed players!

NOTICE: All spatial buckets and caves re-rolled to fix bad starting point selection on some servers and issues in caves

BALANCE:
  • Stargates now protected by nexus shield

IMPROVEMENT:
  • PlayerSoul Blueprints are now droppping from players!
  • When you are doing an emote and move you will cancel the emote

  • Fixed start spawn area selection choosing bad spots in some situations

Patch 11.1:

BUGFIX:
  • Fixed cases where your lvl and exp were not copied to the Astronaut Job

SPECIAL NOTICE: All level ranges and caves have been re-rolled to fix various issues with invalid level ranges and level dropouts NOTICE: Metaverse chat! Chat is now broadcast to all planets in one metaverse

NOTICE:
  • A minimum distance is now required between harvesters

BALANCE/EXPERIMENT:
  • OPERATION MAKE GAME LETHAL. Health values for PvP and PvE combat have been changed dramatically! BEWARE, monsters are now MUCh more lethal, but you are too. You must now avoid enemy hits and choose your battles wisely.

SPECIAL NOTICE:

  • All level ranges and caves have been re-rolled to fix various issues with invalid level ranges and level dropouts

IMPROVEMENT:
  • Job System. We have the start of the Job System in GRAV. The Job System will allow your overall level cap to be higher than 42! (e.g. you can get those high level LootCrates!) New Jobs can be found from Job Blueprints dropping in the world. Each Job has a set of PlayerSkills associated with it that will unlock at certain levels. You may switch between jobs as you will. PlayerSkills from non-active jobs are ALWAYS active (e.g. if you have a JumpHeightIncrease skill from the Acrobat job and you are currently an Astronaut, that JumpHeightIncrease skill is still active).
  • New base item: Kitchenette. This is the start of our cooking / food system. There are only a couple of recipes in the world right now but many many more will be added.

BUGFIX:
  • Fixed issues with dedicated servers hosted behind NAT routers
  • SHOUTOUT: seqwarrior and Gentoshi for detailed info that helped us diagnose this
IMPROVEMENT:
  • Nexus Shield Nodes now have better impact effects to show if you are shooting through them or futily firing at the shield.
  • SHOUTOUT: Kuroodo for a cool idea on what to do to show off the different modes!

As I mentioned in some other threads, we weren't able to get into the office yesterday and had to leave very early Monday due to weather conditions here (freezing rain is no fun). This has set us back a couple days on our patch schedule, but we're working as fast as we can to catch up.

We will push another hotfix to patch 10 to fix issues people are seeing there in the next couple of days, and Patch 11 will be sometime after that.

The distinction between the hotfix and patch 11 is that Patch 11 will contain a bunch of *NEW* stuff and the hotfix will be primarily bug fixes.

We apologize for the delay and believe me when I say it pains us just as much as you guys to get knocked behind schedule. We got more snow today but are still at the office for the moment. Hopefully we survive the car ride home :)

Please note this update is only out for testing but most likely will be released soon.

NOTICE:
  • All Backpacks will DECAY after 48 hours. You have 48 hours to reclaim a dropped backpack. There are many bags just sitting around stopping people from building. If in 48 hours you were unable to reclaim your bag it will decay and the contents will be lost.

BUGFIX:
  • The scientists involved in the Stargate Quantum Calibrations have been summarily drawn and quartered in the most barbaric and medieval way we were able to find. Their lax physics and mathematical calculations placed the entire Multi-Verse at risk. Stargates have had their firmware flashed and modified with the new scientsists' quantum tunneling solution. They have reassured us that Stargates should properly save your character data on your HomePlanet. For their sakes, let us hope they are correct...

Patch 10.1 Hotfix:
We decided to roll out a hot fix for some issues in Patch 10. Here's what was fixed:
  • ExoPlanets on PVP servers should now be PVP. (Shoutout to RyudoDragoon for alerting us!)
  • Another workaround for steam not initializing on servers correctly
  • Fixed Teleporters thinking they had no destination when they did indeed have a destination
  • Fixed Players not in your FoF group showing up on the compass when you yourself were not in an FoF group
